GO Rescue

Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

The short version: GO Rescue has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The only personal information it collects is your name and email, and only if you choose to give them to us to get updates.

What the app does

GO Rescue connects to your Insta360 GO camera through the Lightning connector, lists the clips on it, and copies the ones you choose to your iPhone. That all happens between your camera and your iPhone.

What we collect

  • Your name and email address, only if you enter them on the welcome screen or in Settings. This is optional. Skipping it doesn't limit the app in any way.
  • When you agreed to get emails, and the app version you were using.

That's all. We don't collect your videos, your camera's details, your location, device identifiers or how you use the app.

How we use it

To email you about GO Rescue (new versions, fixes if a camera or iOS update breaks it) and occasional news and offers about our other apps and services. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We don't sell your information and we don't give it to others for their own advertising.

Who handles it

Your name and email are sent over an encrypted connection and stored with our database provider, Supabase, which processes them for us. When we send emails, our email service provider handles your address for that purpose only.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe we keep only what we need to remember not to email you again.

Your choices and rights

  • Skip the welcome screen, or remove your details from this iPhone in Settings > Updates.
  • Unsubscribe from any email, or email us at ryan@rmdigitalstudio.com to see, correct or delete what we hold, or to withdraw your consent. We reply within 30 days.
  • If you live in the EU, UK, California or another place with privacy laws, you have these rights by law, and you can also complain to your local privacy authority.

What stays on your iPhone

  • Clips you download, saved to your Photos library by default, or to the app's folder (Files > On My iPhone > GO Rescue) if you choose that or Photos can't take a clip.
  • A short activity log you can view or copy from Settings, for troubleshooting. It only goes anywhere if you choose to copy and share it.
  • Your settings (light or dark mode), a list of which clips finished downloading correctly, and your name and email if you gave them.

Deleting the app removes all of this from your iPhone.

Permissions

  • Photos (add only): used when the app saves a clip to your Photos library (by default after each download, or when you tap "Save to Photos"). The app can add videos; it cannot read your photo library.
  • Accessory connection: used to talk to the camera. Nothing else is accessed.

Deleting clips from the camera

The app can erase clips from the camera's memory, but only when you ask, and only after you confirm. By default it only offers this for clips already saved on your iPhone; you can also choose to delete a clip without saving it first, which shows an extra warning.

Children

GO Rescue is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us theirs, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on the page linked in the App Store listing.
